SHAW Mr W. P. ‘Bill’ Shaw and his wife Joan Shaw, née Hackett, residents of Bolsover, recently celebrated their seventieth wedding anniversary. They were married at St Peter’s Church, Mansfield, on September 9th 1950, where Mrs Shaw was at that time resident, working as a hairdresser. Mr Shaw spent almost all of his working life as a fitter at the Tube Works in Chesterfield, apart from war service in Palestine and Egypt.
